Session Title

An organisational approach to e-learning
Session Description

“The e-learning culture at Central Institute of Technology has been growing enormously over several years. Apart from the ongoing provision of short courses and more traditional professional development opportunities, the employment of “innovative practices mentors” and targeted funding for e-learning projects has been a catalyst for e-learning being integrated into the vast majority of courses. Most recently, a community of practice has been established which brings together “instructional intelligence” and “e-learning” specialists, due to the ever increasing synergies. The resistance to e-learning is all but gone and we are now forging ahead with a critical mass of e-learning practitioners within the organisation, so much so that we now need to rethink our approach and call upon ‘e-learning champions’ to lead and mentor the hundreds of teachers who are craving support to use technology to deliver more flexible learning programs.”
