What’s news?

E-learning Community of Practice update

More than 30 passionate e-learning practitioners attended two planning meetings (one in Sydney 11 February and the other meeting online 4 March 2014) to birth a national e-learning community of practice (affectionately now known as eCoP).
So far a small group of members have been very busy formulating our terms of reference, code of conduct and communication strategy.
Over the next few months eCoP hopes to rollout a mentoring/buddy program, regular workshops and webinars as well as the possibility of informal meet ups right across the country.

Although it is still very much in the planning process it is hoped a formal launch will occur in May 2014.

Membership is free and growing daily; we currently have 62 registered members nationally.

If you have a desire to learn, share and build the e-capability of eCoP members then this community might just be for you. Registrations are open now.Once your registration is received you will receive a confirmation email with more information about how you can be involved and our future activities.

In the spotlight
E-assessment has been very topical of late. Did you know the Strategy provides an E-Assessment guide to assist you?
Recently, Ann Brady from learning lines presented a case study on e-assessment best practice. This was an excellent session that provided some real tangible ways you can manage e-assessment and meet compliance. The webinar was part of the NSW E-Capability Program.
