Welcome to the January e-newsletter from the NSW National VET E-Learning Strategy.

What’s news?
NSW e-learning community
A group of passionate e-learning professionals will meet in Sydney on February 11, 2014 to plan the inaugural activities and events for the newly formed NSW E-Learning Community of Practice (CoP).

Your NSW ELC will take a leading role in facilitating the NSW E-Learning Community and keeping you up to date with news and events.
Membership is free and you can join at any time. The community consists of e-learning novices, experts, designers, developers, facilitators and managers of e-learning across the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. The aim is to bring together committed individuals who have a desire to build the e-capability of others within the sector. Even if you are not based in NSW you are welcome to join our community. To express your interest please complete the NSW online webform.
We would also like to connect and network with other CoPs who have an interest in e-learning (even if e-learning is not your primary function). Please register your interest online.

Did you know......?
The E-standards for Training are a national set of technical standards agreed by all jurisdictions and endorsed by the Flexible Learning Advisory Group (FLAG). The standards support interoperable e-learning content and systems in the VET sector and are reviewed annually by the E-standards Expert Group (EEG).

The E-standards for Training can help you to identify the minimum hardware and software platforms that VET e-learning content and systems should work with and the agreed file formats for digital content to ensure your content works across a wide range of environments.
