Hi there, welcome to the NSW, National VET E-Learning Strategy, Wikispace
By now you may have read the latest version of
and found that the services of FLAG will be dissolved effective 1 July 2014.
Although FLAG and its Secretariat will no longer be part of the VET landscape, the Commonwealth have committed to supporting e-learning in the VET sector through the continuation of three former National VET E-learning Strategy activities that will be provided through eWorks in Victoria:
E-standards for Training
A Content Management service
A central E-learning Support service to provide advice on the application of the E-standards for Training, technical support for digital content and guidance on e-learning more broadly, this support service will also include continued access to resources within the
Flexible Learning website
and an online newsletter.
This means that this will be my last official email to you as the NSW E-Learning Advisor however I will continue to be part of the e-learning landscape in two key ways:
Firstly I will continue to chair eCoP a very important e-learning initiative that was established during my role as the NSW ELC and secondly I will now return to back to the coal face as a Head Teacher in NCIT. This is a very exciting opportunity as I will get to put into practice some of the amazing things I have learnt from each and everyone of you.
I would like to personally thank you all for the support you have given me in my role as NSW E-Learning Innovations Coordinator (2009 - 2011) and the NSW E-Learning Advisor (2012 - 2014). I have connected with some amazing people and I am very proud of our e-learning achievements.
A big thanks must also go to the staff of the Secretariat for their valued contributions and support not only to e-learning but to each one of us and myself personally.
I would also like to thank all the wonderful guest speakers who have formed part of the e-capability program delivered out of NSW. Each one of these speakers were volunteers, passionate about e-learning and the continual development of the e-learning sector as a whole. They have left us a wonderful legacy. Thank you!
As part of the wind up of activities, the NSW Innovations wiki will continue to be operational for at least the next twelve months. All of our webinar recordings from the last few years have been made available to you via the wiki
. The NSW Moodle will soon be updated to provide you with guest access to many of our resources and e-learning programs
You are welcome to continue to connect with me via eCoP and through my role as a Head Teacher for TAFE NSW. My phone number will change however my email will remain the same.
The eCoP community now has more than 200 members, it has its own
and our official launch was held in Sydney on 20 June 2014. Feedback from the launch was extremely positive and it seems everyone enjoyed the range of speakers. if you are interested you are welcome to click the hyperlinks to view the recordings. I will also arrange for the recordings to be made available through the eCoP website.
